Jizelle

We have still been having snow. It snowed 6 or more inches on Wednesday night and has taken till now to melt. That, of course, also means lots of mud, so no one can walk around anywhere and my floors have had to be cleaned often. The last couple of weeks we have taken a couple of trips to our local big town. And I also injured my foot. With the snow, trips, and hurt foot, I haven't been able to do much on my home and yard. However, someone else has been busy. A couple of months ago, when I was looking for goats and couldn't find any Nubian goats, I found a new friend with prize-winning Alpine goats. She said that the milk from her Alpines was very good tasting. So I decided to buy one of the babies that her goat was going to have in a few months. Well, the baby was born about four days ago. Here is a picture of our new little doeling. We have named her Jizelle. I will not be bringing her to my house for a while, since it will be healthier for her to stay with her mother and I must go to work each day and could not take care of her or bottle feed her as often as she would need. I am thankful for my new goat-friend for keeping this doeling until I am able to take care of her. I have lots to do to get ready for her.
